Privacy Statement
We use your email address and Discord user ID to verify your access to our Discord community, manage access, and prevent misuse.
We may send necessary transactional messages for this access flow, including email confirmation messages, Discord bot direct messages, and reminders for open confirmations, unused Discord invites, or incomplete Discord rules acceptance.
If you submit the separate HeatTrace private alpha request form, we store your tester note with your signup record and use it only to evaluate and manage private alpha access.
When you visit the Alpha page or submit a signup form, we may store campaign parameters from the page URL, a short-lived session identifier, and the time you landed on the site. We use these values only in aggregated form to understand whether Alpha interest or a signup came from an ad, a profile link, or a direct visit. This first-party attribution uses session storage, does not set cookies, and is not shared with Meta or other third parties.
If you separately consent to receive product or project updates, we may also use your email address to send occasional updates about SetupForge, such as alpha access, launch information, or important project news. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing chris@ringrider.de.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for profiling.
For security, reliability, and basic aggregate usage statistics, our hosting provider may store short-lived access logs, including IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are evaluated only in aggregated form.
When the Private Alpha app starts or renews access, SetupForge records one pseudonymous daily authorization marker for the account, installation, app version, and release channel. We use it to count daily authorized users, active installations, and version adoption. It does not measure which features you use and does not include telemetry, replays, tracks, sessions, file contents, or file paths. These markers are retained for up to 90 days.
SetupForge sends app diagnostics only when you choose Send diagnostics and confirm the action. These diagnostics may include the app and operating-system version, feature and connection status, error types, timing or count values, and pseudonymous install, device, and account identifiers. They do not include replay files, telemetry-file contents, Discord credentials, or telemetry-folder paths. Submitted diagnostics are used only for alpha support and product reliability and are retained for up to 30 days.
Your iRacing replay and telemetry files are processed on your PC and are not uploaded to SetupForge.
After an unexpected shutdown, the app may keep up to five local crash reports for up to 30 days. These reports can contain exception details and recent app-log events. They stay on your PC unless you explicitly copy diagnostics or confirm Send report; the Send action transfers only a limited crash summary, not the full local stack trace.
Some product pages may show videos delivered through Bunny Stream by bunny.net. We load the third-party video player only when you choose to play the video. At that point, your browser contacts Bunny's video delivery infrastructure and may transmit technical data such as IP address, user agent, requested video/player URL, referrer policy information, timestamp, and playback-related delivery data. We use this only to show the product video.
Your data is hosted with Amazon Web Services in the Europe (Frankfurt) region, if technically configured for this region. Access is limited to authorized administrators. We keep the data for as long as necessary to manage Discord access, prevent misuse, or, where applicable, until you withdraw your consent to receive updates.
After deletion, records may remain in encrypted disaster-recovery backups for up to 35 days. Backup copies are not used for normal operations and expire automatically.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also object to the processing where applicable.
